Amanda Mortimer

Amanda Mortimer is the project manager for the SHRS Data Center. In her role, Amanda ensures quality control for multiple federally funded single center and multicenter research projects. She tracks project milestones from intake to production of electronic data capture systems, utilizing standardization procedures and common data elements. She ensures timeliness of project deliverables with respect to data monitoring, reporting, protocol changes, analysis and data sharing at closeout. Amanda ensures each project is in full compliance with respect to human research protections, Institutional Review Board activities and secure data storage.

Previously, Amanda served as a research specialist and laboratory manager in the PIND (Pittsburgh Institute for Neurological Diseases), Department of Neurology. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Health Informatics (MSHI) program in SHRS and received her BS in Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. In her spare time she is working on launching Babesburgh, an organization based on supporting women throughout Pittsburgh and it's surrounding communities.
